NMMSS Exam 2026-27 - Syllabus & Exam Pattern No fixed syllabus is prescribed for this exam. However, the difficulty level of questions will correspond to the Class 7th/8th level syllabus of the annual examination conducted by Haryana Board / CBSE. Exam Structure: Part 1: Mental Ability Test (MAT) - Duration: 90 minutes - Maximum Marks: 90 - Qualifying Marks: 36 (29 for SC/Backward Class/Divyang candidates) - 90 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, all compulsory - Tests mental ability of students: Reasoning, Analysis, Synthesis, etc. Part 2: Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) - Duration: 90 minutes - Maximum Marks: 90 - Qualifying Marks: 36 (29 for SC/Backward Class/Divyang candidates) - 90 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, all compulsory - Subject-wise distribution: Science - 35 questions Mathematics - 20 questions Social Science - 35 questions General Notes: - Each question in both parts has 4 options; answers to be marked on OMR sheet. - No negative marking for wrong answers. - Medium of exam: Hindi and English.

NMMSS 2026-27 Exam Pattern & Selection

Written exam with two parts - Mental Ability Test (MAT, 90 MCQs, 90 minutes, max 90 marks) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT, 90 MCQs covering Science-35, Maths-20, Social Science-35, 90 minutes, max 90 marks); qualifying marks are 36/90 in each part (29/90 for SC/Backward Class/PwD candidates); no negative marking; result based on OMR sheet evaluation.
