About This Recruitment

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has invited online applications to recruit 22 Assistant Sub-Inspector (Technical) posts in Bihar Police Radio (Wireless), Patna. Selection will be through a written competitive examination (Preliminary and Mains) followed by a qualifying Physical Efficiency Test.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a 3-year diploma from a State/Central Government recognized Polytechnic institute in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Tele Communication, Information Technology, or Electrical & Electronics with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) as on 01-08-2025. Physical standards: height min 165cm (General/BC men), 160cm (EBC/SC/ST men), 155cm (all women); chest 81-86cm (General/BC/EBC men), 79-84cm (SC/ST men); weight min 48kg for women.

Selection Process

Preliminary Exam (100 marks, 100 MCQs, 2 hours - General Knowledge & technical subject) qualifying at 30% cutoff; Mains Exam with Paper-I (General Hindi & English, 100 marks, 1.5 hours, qualifying 30%) and Paper-II (Technical subject, 100 marks, 3 hours, qualifying 33%); followed by qualifying Physical Efficiency Test (race, high jump, long jump, shot put); final merit based on Mains Paper-II marks.
